Alexa Taylor earned a B.S. in Physiology & Neurobiology from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Physiology & Biophysics from Georgetown University. Before joining The Focus Foundation team, she worked on the frontlines as a clinical nursing assistant at UPMC Pinnacle. Throughout her time at the University of Maryland, she participated in neurocognitive EEG, clinical family psychology, and animal neuroendocrine research, along with intramural sports and teaching a general microbiology class. As a Pennsylvania native and in addition to her clinical work, she spent her summers as a local swim coach. Alexa is excited to be a part of The Focus Foundation family and hopes to pursue medical school in the future!
