Michaela Brooks is an alumna of Boston University, earning a B.A. in Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology. Before joining The Focus Foundation team, she spent time at Massachusetts General Hospital where she assisted in a study using fMRI to reveal the neural correlates of PTSD in women following traumatic childbirths. Growing up, Michaela tutored elementary school kids in science and math, and spent her summers as a camp counselor for children of all ages and backgrounds. She currently volunteers as a mentor for young girls and women who were victims of abuse or neglect, as well as an event planner for veterans with PTSD. Michaela is very excited to be a part of The Focus Foundation and hopes to become a pediatric neuropsychologist one day!
