Grace Porter is an alumna of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and History with a French minor. During her time there, she worked in the Center for Developmental Science on research projects relating to the development of gratitude and memory functioning in school-aged children. In 2017, she was awarded a Karen M. Gil internship, through which she worked in a private psychology clinic, leading social skills groups for children and adolescents, and organizing research projects that determined appropriate interventions for rare disorders. From these experiences, she has discovered her passion for understanding the interaction between behavior, cognition, and neurodevelopment in children of all ages. Grace is excited to continue pursuing her research interests and looks forward to joining The Focus Foundation team as they help children and families reach their goals!
