DESCRIPTION:Join The Focus Foundation in raising awareness about X and Y chromosomal variations!\nWHEN:\nMay 4th\, 2019 at 8:00 AM \nWHERE:\nPumpkin Loop in the Carolina North Forest in Chapel Hill \nCOST:\n4K Run/Walk – $30\, DeXY’s Fun Run – $10\, Virtual 4K – $25\n \nThe on-site event will feature a 4K Run/Walk as well as DeXY’s Fun Run for young participants. Runners will participate in a 4K run/walk along the beautiful Pumpkin Loop in the Carolina North Forest in Chapel Hill. \nFor those who can’t be there in person\, we also have a Virtual 4K for our friends around the world! Run/walk on the treadmill\, or around your neighborhood to raise awareness! Feel free to start your own “Awareness Team” wherever you are! \nThe event is meant for anyone and everyone and is organized to provide a fun and relaxing atmosphere for all participants. The event will promote awareness of children affected by X and Y chromosomal variations and will allow the community to learn about and discuss these disorders! \nThe 4K will begin at 8:00 AM with DeXY’s Fun Run for younger participants and awards to follow. \nOrganized by the team at The Focus Foundation and the volunteer directors from the local community. Like Colton\, Maddie is a delightful presence in the lives of all who know her. Diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis\, an inflammatory disease of the muscle\, she has faced a number of medical challenges – but has done so with a brave spirit that has inspired so many. \nThe event is scheduled for Saturday\, September 23rd at 5pm.
